چکیده

The field-coupled QCA architecture has emerged as a candidate for providing local interconnectivity for nanodevices, and offers the possibility to perform very dense, high speed, and low power computing in an altogether new paradigm. Magnetic interactions between nanomagnets are sufficiently strong to allow room-temperature operation. We are investigating the fabrication and testing of arrays of nanomagnets for this purpose, and have found that by tailoring their shapes, strong coupling can be observed. This paper will present recent work of the Notre Dame group on magnetically coupled QCA. q 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Inter-observer agreement and diagnostic accuracy of myocardial perfusion reserve quantification by cardiovascular magnetic resonance at 3 Tesla in comparison to quantitative coronary angiography

BACKGROUND Quantification of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) myocardial perfusion reserve (MPR) at 1.5 Tesla has been shown to correlate to invasive evaluation of coronary artery disease (CAD) and to yield good inter-observer agreement. However, little is known about quantitative adenosine-perfusion CMR at 3 Tesla and no data about inter-observer agreement is available. Aim of our study...

Evolutionary QCA Fault-Tolerant Reversible Full Adder

Today, the use of CMOS technology for the manufacture of electronic ICs has faced many limitations. Many alternatives to CMOS technology are offered and made every day. Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) is one of the most widely used. QCA gates and circuits have many advantages including small size, low power consumption and high speed. On the other hand, using special digital gates called re...

Correlation between magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) and quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) in ectatic coronary vessels.

Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) is defined as a dilatation of an arterial segment to a diameter at least 1.5 times that of the adjacent normal artery. The correct follow-up of ectatic vessels is hampered by the need for repeat angiograms. In this work we compared quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) measurements of the diameter of the proximal most ectatic part of coronary vessels, with corres...

A fast wallace-based parallel multiplier in quantum-dot cellular automata

Physical limitations of Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductors (CMOS) technology at nanoscale and high cost of lithography have provided the platform for creating Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA)-based hardware. The QCA is a new technology that promises smaller, cheaper and faster electronic circuits, and has been regarded as an effective solution for scalability problems in CMOS technolog...
